Key features of the products we sell include individual design, high-quality materials and craftsmanship, extended product life, and sustainable production methods. The chain includes 24 Taito Shops around Finland. Taito Shops are owned by the local arts and crafts associations. Taito Group – a national arts and crafts organization - has nearly 100 years of experience in promoting crafts culture and crafts entrepreneurship. The chain of Taito Shops is a unique advocate of craftsmanship thanks to continuing development and its national and international network.
Taito Myymälät Oy was established in 2000 to coordinate the chain of shops. The first premises with the Taito Shop sign were opened during the same year. The Taito Shop concept is developed collectively to make sure the local shops can operate successfully as supply channels of handmade and small-scale manufactured products. The history of handicraft shops extends all the way to the first decades of the 20th century.
The company owners include member communities and companies of the Finnish Crafts Organization.
